Leegane spicy rice cake @ 3대천왕 이가네떡볶이, 부평깡통시장

I needed some awesome spicy rice cake because I have went all the way to Busan. I will be disappointed at myself if I couldn't find any. So, in preparation, I have went through Instagram and blogs just to find the best. And I am proud to say I've found it!

부산까지 왔는데 떡볶이를 못 먹으면 말이 안되지... 떡볶이 맛집을 못 찾았으면 나는 나한테 실망할거야 ㅎㅎ 맛있는 떡볶이를 먹을수 있도록 여행을 떠나기전에 검색을 많이 해봤어! 드디어 찾았어!

It was miraculously near to my accommodation and I could just walk there. No subway, no bus, no taxi, no transportation needed. It is located in a market called Bupyeong Kkangtong market 부평깡통시장. You can get a lot of household food like side dishes, late night snacks, street food, household furnitures, Busan's famous fish cakes, pastries, fruits and more in the market.

신기하게 이 맛집은 내 숙소랑 엄청 가깝던데... 그냥 걸어도 갈수 있는 정도! 지하철이나 버스나 택시 다 필요 없어~ 이 번에 찾던 이 맛집은 부평깡통라는 시장에 있어
이 시장에서 파는 물건도 많고 음식도 많아! 반찬, 야식, 길거리음식, 과일, 빵, 부산어묵, 가구까지 다 찾을수 있어 ㅎㅎ

The almighty spicy rice cake stall is called 이가네 떡볶이. It is not hard to find because of the queue in front of it. Yes, people line up for it. But fret not! The line moves fast!

맛집 이름은 이가네 떡볶이야. 가게 앞에 긴 줄을 서있는 사람들이 많아서 찾기 어렵지 않았어 ㅎㅎ 맞아... 먹으려면 줄을 서야해. 다행히 아줌마가 음식을 빨리 빨리 주니까 기다린 시간이 5분도 안됐어

I came here the first time rather late, it was around time for dinner. Sadly it was all sold out and they were cleaning and ready to close. I have vowed to come early the next day and I was happy to see a line in front of the stall.

사실은 난 두번째 왔었거든! 처음엔 좀 늦게 찾아와서 다 팔렸어 ㅜㅜ 그래서 그 다음날에 일찍 찾아왔어 ㅎㅎ 줄을 서있는 사람들이 보니까 기뻤어 ㅎㅎ

They offer Ala carte and set for their famous spicy rice cake. You can get a set of spicy rice cake with fried stuffs, or you can order them separately. They have fried stuffs like fried dumplings, fried green chilli, and fried kimbap. The star of the dish is definitely the spicy sauce of the rice cake. I have never tasted any sauce that tasted like that and it was everything I wanted, and more.

떡볶이는 튀김이랑 세트로 주문해도 되고 따로 주문해도 돼! 튀김도 여러가지 있어~ 군만두, 고추 그리고 김밥. 이 집의 떡볶이 소스가 제일 맛있었어 ㅎㅎ 내가 먹었던 떡볶이 중에서 제일 맛있었어 완전 내 스타일이야. 내 입에 맞아 ㅜㅜ

So I have ordered the set, and it came with spicy rice cake (all cut into small bite size), a fried dumpling 군만두 and a fried kimbap 김밥튀김. The fried stuffs were all soaked with the delicious spicy sauce and I was literally craving for some more kimbap and soondae to dip in the sauce and just clean the paper bowl.

결국엔 떡볶이랑 군만두랑 김밥튀김을 세트로 주문했어. 소스가 너무 맛있어서 김밥이나 순대를 더 시켜서 찍고 먹고싶었어 ㅜㅜ

After you have queue and successfully gotten your food, you can proceed to go to the back of the stall as they have some standing place with table bench for you to eat while you stand. They also have free flow water too. Good thing they have mirrors on the wall for you to check if you have sauce all over your face before you leave for more good food in the market.

음식을 다 주문하고 가게 뒤로 가보면 서서 먹을수 있는 자리가 있어! 차가운 물도 있어!
벽에 거울이 있으니까 다 먹고 거울을 보고 소스가 얼굴에 묻었는지 확인해주세요 ㅎㅎ 맛있게 먹어서 그럴수 도 있지...

Other than that, I have also tried a fried chicken meat on stick called 미니꼬지. It is made of fried battered chicken meat drizzled with ketchup and mustard. Although it was a bit oily for me since the better around it was on the crunchy side, the sauce on top was bomb.

그 위에도 케첩이랑 머스터드를 뿌려줬어!

Although I wasn't able to eat 이가네 떡볶이 the first time when I came, I have settled my dinner in a restaurant that sells all kinds of street food. It is called 사거리분식. The restaurant was rather big and it was full with people. They have udon, fried dumplings, spicy rice cakes, lots of different soup noodles, fish cakes, kimbap and many many more. The price was very reasonable too.

그리고 처음에 부평깡통시장에 왔을때 이가네 떡볶이를 못 먹어서 사거리분식이라는 식당에서 저녁을 먹었어! 여기에 파는 음식 종류도 많고 사람도 꽉 찼어~ 우동, 군만두, 떡볶이, 국수,  김밥, 어묵 등등 다 있어!

Being the spicy rice cake maniac, I had to have spicy rice cake on that day no matter what. So I've ordered one spicy rice cake and of course, Busan's famous fish cake. I would say that the spicy rice cake was just plain and normal. But I was surprised to see that Busan's rice cake is so huge compared to all the spicy rice cake I've had my entire life. Sadly the sauce was plain and not to my taste but still nice to eat after so long. The fish cake was better as the hot soup tasted so good!

원래 떡볶이를 먹을려고 시장에 왔으니까 떡볶이를 시켰어 ㅎㅎ 부산어묵도 추가했어! 떡은 맛있는데 떡볶이 소스 맛은... 그녕 보통이였어 ㅜㅜ 오랫만에 떡볶이를 먹어서 다 먹었어! 그리고 부산 떡은 다른 떡이랑 비교하면 훨씬 더 커

The rock beach of Busan @ 태종대 Taejongdae

Every time I visit Busan, my head is full of thoughts of food. Little did I know Busan is rich with magnificent cliff beach views! The last time I visited Busan, I've only travel around taking the subway because yes I am a coward and I have bad sense of direction. So I could only travel as far as the subway could go. But this time, I had a Korean friend who was kind enough to lead me to the bus and all the way to Taejongdae. We took the bus at Nampo which would directly bring us to Taejongdae.

부산에서 먹거리 말고 볼거리도 많아! 부산은 바다랑 가까워서 경치가 예쁜 곳이 진짜 많아. 경치가 정말 장난 아니야... 저번에 부산에 갔을때 지하철만 타고 여기저기 구경을 하니까 멀리 갈수 없고 지하철을 타고 갈수 있는 곳만 갔어 ㅜㅜ 이번엔 친구 덕분에 버스를 탔어! 남포동에 있는 버스 정류장에서 버스를 타고 태종대까지 갔어~

I was glad that it did not rain that day. Although the weather was kinda warm, there were still a lot of people who went all the way to Taejongdae! I guess it was a great day for a day out.
After getting off the bus, I headed to the train ticket booth, which took me around 10 minutes by foot from the bus station. It was so tiring honestly. I bought a chilled beverage called Pocari Sweat, didn't know what it was at first, it was surprisingly a taste that I am more than familiar with. It tasted exactly like 100plus. Except that 100plus is way sweeter.

그 날에 비가 안 와서 다행이다. 날씨가 덥지만 태종대까지 오는 사람들 진짜 많았어.

버스를 내려서 다누비라는 열차 매표소까지 가면 10분정도 걸어야해... 갔다가 편의점에서  Pocari Sweat 라는 음료수를 사서 먹었어. 처음 먹었는데 아주 익숙한 맛이 었어ㅎㅎ 우리 나라에서도 맛이 비슷한 음료수가 있어! 100plus 라고 하는 음료수! 근데 우리 나라의 음료수가 더 달아

So my friend bought the Danubi train ticket from the ticket booth. It costed 3000 won per adult.
친구가 매표소에서 다누비 열차 승차권을 샀어. 어른 한명은 3천원이야.

After purchasing the tickets, you can just queue in the line to wait for the Danubi train. Danubi train is a cute train that transport people to where the observatory is. The cons is that there is no air conditioner in the train. People were sweating and the weather was warm so it was kinda stuffy. The train moves very slow because it is all slopes so there was no wind blowing in to the moving train. You can opt out if you want and walk up by yourself but it will be a challenge.

승차권을 사고 줄을 서서 열차를 기다리면 돼.  이 다누비 열차가 귀엽지만 안에 에어컨이 안 틀어줘서 더웠어 ㅜㅜ 기차 안 타고 걸어서 전망대까지 가도 되는데 나는 열차를 타고 가도 힘들어서 추천안할거야 (등산보다 더 힘들것같은데 도전하고 싶은 사람... 도전 해보세요 ㅎㅎ) 그래서 친구랑 태종대 전망대에 내렸어!

Taejongdae's scenery is so breathtaking. All these while I have only seen photos of Taejongdae but being presently here is such a beauty. The cliff is not that high. The colour of the water is so beautiful.

태종대 경치가 정말 예쁘다! 예전에 사진만 봐도 예뻐보이는데 실제로 보니까 숨이 막힘~

I wanted to get closer to the beach so I went down a flight of stairs!
Although my feet was hurting and my body was aching, getting closer to the beach and feeling the breeze brushing through my face was the best feeling ever.

근데 바다랑 더 가까이 가고싶어서 아주 긴 계단을 내려갔어 ㅎㅎ

다리 아프고 몸도 힘들었지만 내가 좋아하는 바다를 가까이 볼수 있으니까 기분이 좋았어 

바람이 엄청 불어서 파도도 많이 쳤어. 바다를 보니까 진짜 아름다운 그림인것같아. 

그리고 등대에 올라갈수도 있었는데 계단을 너무 많이 올라가야해서 딱 보고 포기해야겠다는 생각을 했어 ㅎㅎ

The sun wasn't scorching when I went to the observatory, so it was a relief. But even so, I was carrying my backpack and I was sweating profusely.

전망대에 갔을때 햇볕이 그렇게 뜨겁지 않아서 좋았어... 안 그래도 무거운 가방을 들고 계단을 많이 올라가니까 땀이 미친 듯이 흘렸어 ㅜㅜ

Namcheon's Ocean view cafe @ Feel So Good Coffee 필소굿커피

Busan has so many beautiful cafe by the beach but a lot that I have came across were not accessible by merely subway transportation and walking only. And most of the cafes have only people reviewing on the food and address only. Me being the scaredy cat, wasn't able to go to any of it. BUT I was happy to finally came across one that has a view as beautiful as any other cafe and is reachable by only subway and walking! However, it does take slightly longer to reach by foot, compared to any other places that I have been to.

The name of this beautiful cafe is called 필소굿커피 Feel So Good Coffee, located at 광안리 Gwanganli. Believe it or not, it is a very very new cafe! It was only launched in 2018. I can spot this tall building facing the sea along the way so it kept me going. It was literally by the sea so it was very windy and cold. I would suggest that anybody who wants to visit to come by in the morning or noon, when you can see the view clearly. 

What I like about this cafe is that it has a few floors with different function and design to cater to different customers who want to enjoy different things. There are 3 floors that belongs to them, 3rd floor is where food and beverages are ordered, 4th floor is where you can sit by the large glass window and 6th floor is a roof top area where you can enjoy the breeze outdoor.

The time when I went there, I am not sure why, but all the chairs and table placed outdoors were stacked up. Although we can still access the outdoor area but it seems like it is not ready for customers to chill out. Well, the only reason I can think of is that IT WAS FREAKING COLD. I couldn't bear to stand outside for more than a minute without my bones shivering badly. My hair was a mess and I could barely talk. I guess the best time to visit cafes with outdoor facilities is probably summer...

So, before I came here, I had a very heavy lunch. I wasn't going to order any food and was going to order only beverage but there was a signage by the counter that says that there is a minimum order. I had no choice but to order some. So I have ordered a hot latte, a chocolate cookie and a chocolate cake, totalling up to 14,500 won.

The hot latte was well made just the way I like. I was busy taking so many pictures the latte went cold...The chocolate cake was not the best I have tried. It could be done better in my opinion. It just tasted like a lot of cream and was not freshly made.

Honestly, the view is to die for especially when you can sit down and sip a cup of hot latte after a long day of walking and eating. It was also the day I went for a perm, so my mood is peaking at the time.

I sat there for quite some time, until the sky was turning dark. Then I realise the way back is going to take some time and I didn't want to walk back when it is dark and I cannot see anything. So, before leaving, I took some more pictures because it was so pretty with lights up.

Little dreamy strawberry cafe @ U:Dally 유달리 전포점

First of all, my visit to U:Dally wasn't planned. I didn't know there was a branch in 전포 Jeonpo so I actually planned to go to the one in 자갈치 Jagalchi at first. My visit to Jeonpo was originally to visit a cafe called Before Sunset. But for some odd reason I couldn't find it at all. It is not hard to find but I guess they either move or have closed down. However, there wasn't any people saying that it has closed down so I have no idea. While on the way to find other cafe, U:Dally magically appeared!

전포에 있는 유달리라는 카페에 갔다! 처음엔 비포선셋이라는 카페를 찾으려고 전포에 갔는데 찾기 어렵지 않을 거라고 생각을 했는데 못 찾았다 ㅜㅜ (문이 닫았나? 아니면 이사했나?) 다른데 가려고 하다가 유달리에 왔다 ㅎㅎ 신기하게! 전포도 유달리가 있는지 몰랐다~

This U:Dally branch in Jeonpo is way way way more prettier than any other branches. The whole cafe was painted in bright red. It looks like a pretty doll house with extended seats outdoor. The view and environment is so breathtaking. Doesn't seem like Korea to me at all! I'm glad I came here, honestly.

유달리 전포점은 다른 점보다 훨씬 더 예쁘다! 약간 큰 인형집 같다 ㅎㅎ 이런 카페 밖에서 디저트를 먹고 바람도 쐴 수 있어서 너무 좋다~

So I ordered the Strawberry T.O.P (6,500 won), Blueberry and cream cheese bagel (8,000 won) and also Strawberry waffle. The total was around 20,000 won. The strawberry waffle took some time to serve because they make the waffle fresh. It was a challenge to drink cold beverage when the weather is already chilly, but hey, who cares when you are in Korea and you need nice photos :)

와플을 주문할 때마다 만들어주니까 시간이 걸려서 조금 기다려야 했다
사실은 날씨가 추워서 차가운 음료수를 마시기 힘들었는데 예쁜 사진을 찍기 위해서... 무조건 해야겠지 ㅎㅎ

The blueberry and cream cheese bagel and Strawberry T.O.P were served first. The bagel was not warm, but the cream cheese were the bomb. The beverage on the other hand was cold, obviously, with lots of strawberries topped with whipped cream.

딸기 T.O.P 과 블루베리 크림치즈 베이글을 먼저 나왔다~ 베이글은 차갑지만 들어있는 크림치즈가 너무 너무 맛있었다! 딸기 T.O.P에는 생딸기 엄청 많이 들어있었다

The waffle was warm and toasty, drizzled with some honey. But honestly, it was too sweet when you eat all 3 dishes together.

 따뜻한 와플에 꿀을 뿌려줘서 맛있는데 베이글을 먹고 딸기도 같이 먹으면 느끼하다... 내 입안이 너무 달콤했다 ㅎㅎ 물론 좋아하는 사람도 있지만~

I had to sit outside because the weather was so good and with a view like that, you need pictures don't ya. There were Japanese and Hong Kong tourist dining in there too! I thought I was in London (nope, never been there before). I have Korean friends asking me where exactly is this place because they were shock that such beautiful cafe actually exist. They didn't believe it was in Korea.

이날은 날씨가 좋아서 사진을 많이 찍었다! 여기에 와서 사진만 찍은 관광객도 있었다 ㅎㅎ 아는 한국인 친구가 사진을 보고 어디에 있냐고 물어봤다.. 한국에 있는지 몰랐다 ㅎㅎ

They have a few other choices of fruits to choose from such as grape, watermelon, melon, and mango. But I think they only have certain menu when the fruit is in season? I'm not sure tho. I had to go for the strawberry because Malaysia's strawberry is sour....

딸기 말고 다른 과일 종류도 많았다! 포도 수박 멜론 망고 등등
난 원래 망고를 제일 좋아하는데 왠지 딸기가 먹고 싶었다
말레이시아에 맛있는 딸기가 없나보다 ㅜㅜ

Feel free to take this beautiful bottle home! But, there were whipped cream inside, making it very oily and hard to wash and the smell stayed for so long even after washing :(

Honestly it was kinda chilly to be sitting outside but I just couldn't resist.

사실은 밖에 앉으면 춥고 감기도 쉽게 걸릴것같다
